For MF/HF I have a WEB-888 connected to an End fed long wire Vibroplex EF-80-10-JR-KW which allows 12 simultaneous connections. The WEB-888 SDR allows the decoding of many of the data signals that you find on the MF/HF Frequencies, this includes Ham Radio data modes such as RTTY, CW, FT8-FT4, SSTV, WSPR along with other services such as Marine (NAVTEX), Aeronautical (HFDL), Time signals, DRM (Digital radio Mondiale) and HF Fax to name but a few.

The beauty of using the WEB-888 for SWL (Shortwave Listening) or decoding any of the aforementioned data modes is that as a user of the SDR you don’t require any Hardware or Software apart from your internet browser and connection.

The WEB-888 HF SDR can be found here WEB-888 M0NRG

I also run a Raspberry PI, RTL-SDR V3 with OpenWebRX+ which is connected to a Marine Antenna. Although this was put together initially for the marine band there are profiles for VHF and UHF Ham bands as well as 433 ISM and Air Bands.

The OpenWebRX+SDR can be found here OpenWebRX+ M0NRG

The WEB-888 antenna will be disconnected if I’m using the wire Antenna for Transmitting.
